Science: Curriculum is based on Diocesan Science Standards. The students use concrete, hands-on experiences to understand science in the physical and natural world around them. Students identify problems, formulate and test hypotheses and evaluate experimental results.
Grade 5: Be a Scientist- The students will explore structure and properties of Matter, physical and chemical changes, plant and animal needs, matter in ecosystems, how Earth's major systems interact, and discuss the solar system and the universe. Grade 6: Earth Science- The students will examine the materials that make up the Earth surfaces, the internal processes and how the Earth has changed in its history. Social Studies: Our goal is to prepare students for their dual role in society as informed Roman Catholics and United States citizens by combining Diocesan Social Science Standards along with Catholic Social Teachings.
Grade 7-American History I (Exploration--Up to beginning of the Civil War) 7th Grade Students must take and pass both Federal and Illinois Constitution Tests.
