Mr. Sheehan
Grade/Subject:7th Grade Homeroom,7th Social Studies, Science 5-8, Assistant Principal.
Introduction: I am a graduate of Illinois College with a BA in Physical Education. Later in life, I decided to pursue a teaching certificate and completed a graduate teaching program from Benedictine University with a Masters in Education. I am endorsed to teach junior high Social Studies, Science, and Physical Education. This is my eleventh year teaching at St. Isidore Catholic School and my second year serving as the Assistant Principal. I love teaching middle school students because we never have a dull day. It is always exciting, challenging, and rewarding as my students grasp and understand the topics we discuss daily in class.
My philosophy of education is that all children can learn. All students have God-given strengths, and it is my challenge to find and develop those strengths to ensure that the child is successful in his/her education. I believe in creating an environment that is creative, fun, and safe, both physically and emotionally. I have high expectations for my students. Our classroom atmosphere focuses on learning and provides opportunities for personal as well as social growth
